Mr. And Mrs. Armand Carney retired from New Jersey and came to Floyd County to establish High Hopes Farm. Mr. Armand Carney continued his art creating decorative duck decoys, shorebirds, and song birds. He spent many hours in his workshop creating his art. His work and techniques have been featured in many books and articles. Several lots in this auction are of his work. Pat Carney collected the works of local artists. There are many local pieces featured in this auction such as Glendon Boyd dough bowl, local Floyd baskets makers such as C.D. Boyd basket, R. Sowers basket, and Dublin artist C.Ted Bobbit basket and a quilt by Margie Hartley and other local artwork and handmade items.
