Ellie and Alan were also a driving force behind Abingdon's Historic Barter Theater, he as a director and Ellie as an administrator. Alan and Ellie traveled around the world gathering their lifelong collection of treasures including theater and tribal masks, religious iconography, art, rugs, books and destination souvenirs. They both had a passion for mystery novels specifically young adult book series such as Nancy Drew, the Hardy Boys and others Unrelenting, however, was Alan's love for all things Wizard of Oz. Their interests materialized in a vast book and Wizard of Oz collection which are all represented in this auction. In this auction one will also discover a large doll collection, antique furniture, McCoy pottery, sterling silver, cloissone, china, playbills, Christmas decorations and so much more!
